In-Groov Pop Up With Founder & Esthetician, Shani Hillan

UPCOMING Events

Join us Friday, March 8th as we celebrate the launch of Shani Hillian’s brand, IN GROOV at our Fort Greene location.

Meet Shani Hillian , who has earned a stellar reputation in the beauty industry thanks to her thoughtful focus on the connection between the mind, gut, and skin.

Hillian has been treating skin with a nature-first approach for over 17 years, and CLB is to celebrate the launch of her beauty brand, IN GROOV —a skin wellness brand rooted in the idea that beauty lives in the in-between phases.

Shani will be our guest esthetician on March 10th and 16th, 2024, offering an In Groov 60-minute treatment to balance, fortify, and renew your skin. This bespoke facial will gently cleanse and resurface the skin with a nourishing enzyme exfoliation to refine pores and rejuvenate skin tone. A customized massage to depuff and sculpt while guiding you into bliss, and a tailored mask leaves skin hydrated, balanced, and radiant.

november 30th, 2023

Discover one of our favorite beauty brands, ACTIVIST, between December 1st- December 31st, with an exclusive 30-minute facial at Carrie Lindsey Beauty.

The limited-time ACTIVIST Nourishment Facial will immerse you in their products, including a special Mānuka Honey skin cleanse, followed by a Green Botanical Serum massage, and ending with their Honey Mask and LED light. This treatment will nourish and hydrate your skin for the cool New York fall days. The facial will also include a special ACTIVIST gift with purchase.

ACTIVIST Raw Mānuka Honey is wildcrafted in Aotearoa, New Zealand by bees that pollinate the native Mānuka Bush during a short seasonal window in the spring and summer. This particular Mānuka Honey is a beautiful and rare resource with considerably higher levels of anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal & enzymatic properties than found in other honey.

Mānuka Honey is beneficial to all, even those with sensitized skin issues such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea and acne due to its deeply healing properties. Additionally it is a natural humectant, absorbing moisture from the air, helping to soothe and hydrate dry and irritated skin.

Activist is a Mānuka Honey company founded by wife and husband, Gabrielle Mirkin and Luke Harwood. Their shared passion for the earth and natural products can be traced to our childhoods in New Zealand.

Luke’s love for surfing and the native coastal land of New Zealand led him to understand the important role bees play as environmental indicators and was the founding catalyst for ACTIVIST. Gabrielle’s time in New York City working as a senior Art Director at Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar led to a slowdown, and the pursuit of new interests outside of the fast-paced world of fashion publications. Gabrielle’s love for radiant health, natural healing therapies and food from the earth was a central driver for the development of ACTIVIST
